Troubleshooting
If you are having problems with the encoder on a new system, please download one of the following files to get a snapshot of your system.
If you are using a clean PC without Visual Studio installed on it, run this version of the diagnostics tool. The tool will print out information on the state of your system, and if the files are properly installed where they should be installed. The information is stored in a text file called standardmpeg_diagnostics.txt (placed in the current directory for the tool). Send this file to mark@standardmpeg.com, and we'll take a look to see what the problem is.
If you have Visual Studio, then run the debug version to also get information about memory usage in the file.
